Holy crap. This was my first time painting in almost 8 years 😳I remember I used to get stressed by a blank canvas as a kid because I’d be so worried about making a mistake. I’d spend hours sketching with a pencil before attempting to paint the first stroke. Regardless of how this painting turned out, I was actually incredibly proud of myself because I sat down and immediately started painting. All I had were some reference photos of water lillies and I just got started. I never expected myself to rediscover my love for painting. It was so unexpectedly liberating and therapeutic
